Microsurfacing is a thin pavement preservation treatment used for preventive maintenance and rehabilitation. It combines emulsified bitumen, fine aggregate, mineral filler or cement and additives, then places the mixture in a thin layer over an existing road surface to improve texture and extend pavement life.
