EB14 is a dense-graded asphalt mix made with 14 mm aggregate and designed for heavier traffic than residential mixes. It is commonly used for commercial parking lots, industrial access roads, secondary municipal roads and driveways used by heavier vehicles.
Its coarser structure provides greater resistance to wear, heavy loads and demanding weather conditions. It is generally placed as a surface course and may be combined with an EB20 base course depending on the project.
Strong, stable and versatile, EB14 is a reference mix for commercial and municipal paving. It performs well in high-traffic settings and provides long service life when the base, placement and compaction are properly completed.
